I still fondly remember my transparent purple Game Boy Color. I still own it, although it’s buried somewhere in my parent’s house in New Jersey.

Nintendo just hit me right in the feels with the announcement for two new 2DS consoles to commemorate Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, although they’re transparent blue and red.

While the transparent 2DS units themselves will be available on November 11th, the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire bundles won’t be available until November 28th, which is the same day the games themselves launch. For us Americans, both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be arriving a tad bit earlier, on November 21st.

The transparent 2DS consoles have not been confirmed for North America – yet.
